CTV NEWS AT SIX to broadcast from five locations in five nights September 12–16

Ottawa, ON (August 30, 2011) – The most-watched television program in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec is preparing to hit the road and deliver its supper hour newscast up close and personal in five locations over five nights.  Anchors Graham Richardson and Carol Anne Meehan will be joined by weathercaster J.J. Clarke and sports director Terry Marcotte for the CTV NEWS AT SIX  “Hometown Tour” during the week of September 12, beginning with Pembroke at The Waterfront on Monday, the 12th.

“We are doing the whole show on location,” said Louis Douville, Vice-President and General Manager, CTV Ottawa.  “Those who come to see our live broadcast will see everything we do in front of and behind the cameras. There is no better way to connect with the people who invite us into their homes each and every night, than to visit their communities in person from time to time.”

Preceding each CTV NEWS AT SIX broadcast, all four on-air personalities will meet and greet fans and viewers in attendance.  M&M Meats will be on site at each tour stop hosting a barbecue, with proceeds going to The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
CTV NEWS AT SIX is the most-watched program in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.  CTV Ottawa remains the only local television station with more than one million viewers weekly.  On March 12, 2011 the station celebrated its 50th anniversary.
