Traffic Services is an integral part of Pembroke Police Service. There is a dedicated traffic office set up to meet objectives set out in the Pembroke Police Service’s Business Plan. The Traffic Service’s mandate includes proactive initiatives that promote road safety for all motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Through these initiatives the objective is to reduce injuries in Motor Vehicle Collisions. Traffic Services responds to the concerns within our community which include speeding, impaired driving and rules of the road.
Personnel in this department are trained in a variety of areas which include radar and lidar device operation, qualified technicians for the intoxilyzer, and drug recognition expert.
The Pembroke Police Service sits as a member of the Provincial Speed Measurement Advisory Committee.
