The processing of Criminal and Provincial Offence charges is in the hands of the Court office. This includes the filing of charges, handling of briefs, escort of prisoners and service of legal documents like subpoenas and summons'. These tasks are the responsibility of a staff made up of police officers and civilian special constables. This staff provides security within the Renfrew County Court House located in Pembroke during the regular working hours as mandated by the Police Services Act of Ontario.
