Pembroke has a wide range of social service organizations to meet the needs of the broader Upper Ottawa Valley region. Offices for most of the major health and wellness organizations in Ontario can be found in Pembroke. Over 200 special interest groups, community service clubs, and social service organizations in the Pembroke area ensure that the diverse needs and interests of the whole community are addressed.
