PLACES TO PARK IN DOWNTOWN PEMBROKE
The City of Pembroke have 7 municipal parking lots for vehicle parking and 1 parking site to accommodate boat trailer parking. Three of the parking lots in downtown Pembroke offer free all day parking, two parking lots offer 2 hour complimentary parking and there is metered parking on the remainder of the streets at a cost of $0.50 per hour. Parking meters only accept quarters, loonies and toonies.
WINTER CONTROL - NOVEMBER 1ST TO APRIL 30TH INCLUSIVE
Parking is prohibited between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. during Winter
Control months on all streets north of and including Renfrew Street, both sides, from the Pembroke
Street bridge to Christie Street; on MacKay Street, both sides, from McAllister Street to Nelson Street;
on Pembroke Street East, both sides, from Maple Avenue to the Pembroke Street bridge.
Further no person shall park a vehicle, except a vehicle used for emergency purposes, on any part
of a street, highway or City boulevard in the City of Pembroke between the hours of twelve
midnight and eight o'clock a.m. when the City has scheduled snow plowing and/or snow removal
operations. Snow plowing and/or snow removal operations are implemented when two inches
(2") or more of snow have fallen or when snow banks must be reduced and vehicles parked on
any part of a street, highway or City boulevard during the above-mentioned hours will be towed
away at the owner’s cost.
