Landlord/Owner Information

As the owner of the apartment building you are obligated under the Ontario Fire Code to provide basic information to the tennand regarding fire safety.

As the owner you are obligated to ensure that there are working smoke detectors when the tennant moves in. You must also provide instructions for the maintenance and operation of the smoke detector.

The Pembroke Fire Department has sample forms that you may use for the record keeping of smoke detectors in apartments.
